| I have given myself a treat on my long-planned travel to Fresno. I was quite so stressed at work that I made sure that I will be spending some time exploring a different place on my own. I had my share of greatest trips with my friends to several cities and tourist spots but now, after some thoughtful thinking, I made a big step by going solo. Who said there’s no fun in that has never tried it, that’s for sure. One weekend, for the first time, I was alone and I couldn’t be more relaxed and fulfilled. I made a reservation at the Picadilly Inn Shaw at 2305 West Shaw Avenue. It was right at the heart of the so-called Fig Garden nearby the many happening attractions and business establishments and true to the word of every review I read on the internet, this city is indeed a vacationer’s paradise. This hotel accommodation that I got in was so cozy even though the design was pretty much grand and so amazingly thought- of. I give credit to the design team for giving the pleasant atmosphere. But more than that, I had a great time resting on my big sized bed. I felt like royalty. The morning after, I received a complimentary breakfast and headed off to see what’s in store for me. Of course I went a little overboard with my shopping since I have seen so many places to splurge. What’s a girl to do right? Lunch came and I chose to go to Di Cicco’s Italian Restaurant right there by 7038 N. West Avenue. I entered into this restaurant and enjoyed authentic Italian cooking at its finest. I swear, reading their menu is never easy because I wanted to get whatever I read. It’s enticing, to say the least. Well, I ordered the Tortellino Alfredo for just $8.95. It was some pasta shaped almost like a doughnut with parmesan cheese sauce mixed with white meat sauce. I actually felt like screaming something in Italian out of satisfaction but of course, there are other patrons there and I don’t want to be laughed at. Later that day, I made an appointment at Marta & Co. at 1439 still in West Shaw. In my hopes of relieving stress, I made it sure to have the specialty massage of the place. The lady was so gracious and I really felt safe and at ease with her. I just had one of the most incredible massages I had in my life. |
