| On one work holiday, my friends and I managed to squeeze in some time to make a very important reunion. We haven't had some girls' night out since one of my friends' engagement party. So, this time, given this great opportunity to catch up and have fun, we made it sure to drive a good day of fun filled activities with no one but the best friends we will ever know. My great friend was kind enough to bring her own car to drive around the Fresno metropolis in search for our much-needed adventure -far from the hustles and bustles of our workplaces. We managed to make a fun 25- minute drive to Fresno while singing our most favorite tunes, and in an instant, we were greeted by the amazing feel of the thriving establishments of this city. We reached what we kid about as our “mother ship”, the enormous Fashion Fair Mall at 645 East Shaw Avenue at 11 am and we were astounded by just the big number of choices. We first grabbed our cups of coffee from Starbucks and then we were off to start a long day of endless shopping a la the girls from Sex and the City. Well, it was truly an amazing treat for us to splurge on shoes, clothes and bags just like Sarah Jessica Parker, and of course, we were so glammed up as the afternoon went on. Then, at 377 East Shaw Avenue, just a five minute drive from the mall, we were so thrilled to see Awakenings Salon and Spa for some girl time bonding and some top of the line pampering. A long day of endless chatter and walking in heels turned out to be as strainign as we thought it would be so we made a great decision to take a U turn on first Street to find this gem of a place. The woman who attended to me was just great at what she does, I'm sure to go back some time soon. For dinner, we chose to go somewhere around the corner and found The Cheescake Factory. It was packed that night but it just made the atmosphere even more lively. The lobby is manned by a very gracious girl and after some time waiting, we decided to dine in the bar, and you know what happens with three working women trying to have a perfect vacation in the bar, we had absolute fun! Oh, the food was splendid too! That email from my cousin about this place is just right! |
